What is the Zimmer Durom Cup?
The Zimmer Durom cup is a metal on metal (MoM) hip replacement implant consisting of a metal acetabular cup implanted in the pelvis. Zimmer designed the component to bond with new bone growth in the patient’s hip socket without the need for screws, cement, or epoxy. Unfortunately, the Durom cup has a high rate of failure that can lead to secondary revision surgeries.
Zimmer Knee Replacement
In addition to the Durom cup, the Zimmer NexGen knee replacement system has also been linked to a number of problems including reports of pain, loosening of the implant, and failure of the replacement knee leading to revision surgery.
If you have either the Zimmer Durom hip cup or the Zimmer artificial knee and have experienced pain, loosening, or difficulty walking, you may be entitled to participate in a lawsuit and receive a settlement. Please contact our office immediately to protect your rights.
